Nonabelian Bosonization as Duality †

Applying the techniques of nonabelian duality to a system of Majorana fermions in 1+1 dimensions, invariant under a nonabelian group O L (N) × O R (N), we obtain the level-one Wess-Zumino-Witten model as the dual theory. This makes nonabelian bosonization a particular case of a nonabelian duality transformation, generalizing our previous result for the abelian case.

On Nonabelian Duality

We show that nonabelian duality is not a symmetry of a conformal field theory, but rather a symmetry between different theories. We expose a nonlocal symmetry of nonabelian dual theories. We show how, in the case with vanishing isotropy, it can be used to find the inverse dual transformation. Chiral Fermions and AdS/CFT Duality for a Nonabelian Orbifold

We present what we believe is the minimal three-family AdS/CFT model compactified on a nonabelian orbifold S5/(Q × Z3). Nontrivial irreps of the discrete nonabelian group Q × Z3 are identified with the 4 of SU(4) R symmetry to break all supersymmetries, and the scalar content of the model is sufficient to break the gauge symmetry to the standard model.
